What Are Hair Follicles and Grafts?
In hair transplantation, follicles are moved from the donor area to the planned recipient area. Visible hair shafts are only part of this structure.
Get to know a graft.
- A graft may contain one or more hair follicles; graft count and hair count are not the same.
- Donor capacity, existing hair characteristics and possible future loss are assessed together.
- Protecting follicles and placing them in natural directions are part of the plan.
To clarify your needs, explore the individual assessment steps and learn about the period after your procedure in our aftercare guide for more details.
